| Terry Bassham Executive VP, Finance & Strategic Development and CFO, Great Plains Energy Mr. Bassham joined Great Plains Energy as its new Executive Vice President of Finance and Strategic Development and CFO on March 28, 2005. Mr. Bassham previously was Executive Vice President, CFO and Chief Administrative Officer for El Paso Electric Company (EPE) in El Paso, Texas. In those roles, he oversaw EPE financial, treasury, regulatory and administrative functions. Mr. Bassham joined EPE in 1996 as General Counsel and increasingly assumed responsibility for legislative affairs, regulatory filings and corporate governance. Mr. Bassham holds a BBA - Accounting degree from the University of Texas-Arlington, and a Juris Doctorate degree from St. Mary's University Law School, San Antonio, Texas. |

He was previously executive vice president-Shared Services, responsible for human resources, information technology, procurement and supply chain services, and corporate services. Prior to assuming the shared services position, Hagan was senior vice president-governmental affairs. He had been involved in public affairs in the electric utility industry since joining the former Central and South West Corp. in 1980. Hagan began at CSW as a state and federal lobbyist and later became vice president-governmental affairs. He was promoted to senior vice president-external affairs in 1996, a position he held until CSW's merger with AEP in June 2000. |
